Here they follow a Learning Improvement Framework that monitors their performance against proven criteria. This not only improves their learning and achievement, but also allows them to play an active role in refining our methods.
In our International School in Madrid we believe that there are some key life skills that all students need to thrive. These include everything from digital literacy to global awareness.
These skills prepare them to adapt to a rapidly changing world, make informed decisions and build meaningful relationships, setting a strong foundation for lifelong success and fulfilment.
ISP students develop these skills over the course of their school years, through learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.
Students develop strong communication skills in English, our core language of instruction, while also learning to express themselves confidently in other global languages. Spanish is taught in line with Spanish education law, either as a native language or as a foreign language. Students can also choose to study French or German, further enriching their linguistic abilities. Through daily use and cultural exchange, students grow into adaptable, multilingual communicators with a truly international outlook.
Exposure to different cultures and perspectives plays a vital role in students' personal and academic development.Through the International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) programme, they engage with peers from ISP schools around the world, immersing themselves in multicultural and multilingual experiences that broaden their horizons.Whether representing a nation as a UN delegate or working with international classmates, each ILOS experience enables students to explore their interests and develop essential skills for success in today's global society.
